Stickers are still a popular way to help spread the news about your brand! Whether you are just looking to get your name out there or are looking to promote are certain parts of your business, stickers are an easy way to put your name in the hands of potential customers.
So you have decided to create a sticker for your company, but you’re not sure where to start. The first thing to consider is what your sticker will be used for and what the end-user will stick it to. Sorting out the how and why will help you be more successful and not end up in a drawer somewhere. The most common places we see people stick their stickers are:

- Car Bumpers
- White Boards
- Shirts
- Laptops
- Refrigerators
- Windows
- Mirrors
- Helmets
- Musical Instruments and their cases (guitars – drums)
- Water Bottles
Now that you have a better idea where you think your recipients will stick your stickers you can make more educated decisions about designing your stickers. The next step is to consider what type of sticker you want. There are many ways that we can produce a sticker for you!

When designing your sticker there are a few things you want to avoid. First, avoid thin borders and putting elements close to the edge of your design. During the cutting process of the printed sticker, the blade and material can shift causing borders to be uneven. It’s best to leave a ⅛ inch of safety space around the edge of your design. Second, your call to action! Let your customers know who you are and how to find you. Avoiding this information might leave you with a cool sticker but no way for customers to know where it came from.

Last but not least … LEGIBILITY and CONTRAST. When designing your sticker, you want to use nice contrasting colors and readable fonts. It helps the end-user see important elements of your sticker and remember what they saw!
